Enjoy a rare opportunity to listen to a prominent Christian leader ministering to Anglican Christians in Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, and part of Syria. Bishop Riah Abu El-Assal is an Arab-Palestinian-Christian Israeli citizen, building bridges in the midst of widespread political and economic instability. Come hear a leading Christian spokesman describe the plight of Palestinian Christians and reveal how religion can transcend ideology and violence. The Rt. Rev. Riah Abu El-Assal has been the Anglican bishop in the Diocese of Jerusalem since 1996. This event is Washington National Cathedral’s 2002 Claggett Scholar Lecture.
