Cathedral Crossroads: Writing the Spiritual Journey with Randon Noble

Event image

Randon Noble

An evening of contemplative practice on the last Tuesday of each month; free and open to the public. General offerings 6 pm to 8:45 pm; special program 7:30 to 8:30 pm. Free and open to the public.

Adam and Eve were exiled from the garden. Moses and Jesus entered the desert. The Buddha sat under a tree and gained enlightenment. Dante lost his way in a dark wood and wound up traveling though the afterlife. We’re all on a spiritual journey—even if we’re only traveling the avenues of our nation’s capital. Join writer Randon Billings Noble and explore how different writers describe the spiritual journey, and then write a piece of your own.

Randon Billings Noble earned her MFA in creative writing from New York University and has taught a variety of writing classes at American University for the last eight years. She has been a fellow at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and a resident at Wildacres and the Vermont Studio Center. Her work has been published in or is forthcoming from The Massachusetts Review, the Modern Love column of The New York Times, Passages North, and Emrys Journal, and she has recently completed a collection of essays called The Summer before Marriage.
