Flower Arranging Seminar

Event image

The Flower Guild of the Washington National Cathedral is pleased and proud to offer a flower arranging seminar of demonstrations and workshops conducted by the Cathedral’s experienced Flower Guild instructors. Students learn mechanics for altar vases, boxes, pedestals, garlands, and festival designs. On Friday seminar participants have the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned by adorning the Cathedral with their own imaginative arrangements.

While here, participants will attend evensongs, receptions, special Cathedral tours, and a moonlight tour of Washington, D.C., and enjoy the privilege of being a part of the Cathedral family.

This year’s seminar will be limited to 24 participants who reside at the Cathedral College on the Cathedral grounds from Monday through mid-day Friday. The total cost of this five-day seminar, including room, board, instruction, workshop materials, flower clippers, and flowers is $2,000.00. If you wish to apply, please email Linda Roeckelein.

Parking at the Cathedral

Parking in the Cathedral’s underground garage is free on Sundays for services and organ recitals; parking for concerts and programs is available for an event-parking fee. Learn more about parking options for individuals and groups.
