Event image

Join Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde and the Very Rev. Gary Hall, dean of Washington National Cathedral, for a simulcast of an Episcopal Church forum, “Fifty Years Later: The State of Racism in America.” Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori hosts this 90-minute live forum from the Diocese of Mississippi. The simulcast includes a panel discussion moderated by PBS commentator Ray Suarez, with panelists the Rt. Rev. Michael Curry, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina; Ms. Myrlie Evers-Williams, civil rights activist; and the Honorable William Winter, former governor of Mississippi. Bishop Budde and Dean Hall then lead a local discussion following the simulcast. A light reception follows. Participation in the simulcast in Perry Auditorium is limited, so please RSVP. A live webcast of the forum will be available on the Episcopal Church website.
