CANCELLED

Spend a summer evening taking a pilgrimage back in time. Named for one of Britain’s first martyrs, Mount Alban was likely a sacred site long before the nation’s capital came into being. From Phoebe Nourse whose needlework helped finance the building of St. Alban’s Church to Bishop John Walker whose prophetic voice called the Cathedral to look beyond its walls to the city below the hill, the stories of those who left their mark on this holy ground can inspire us today. Join us as we explore the history of this sacred site and end our evening with an open air service of night time prayers. Fee: $30/regular and $25/students or seniors. Pre-registration is required for all pilgrimages. For more information or to register contact pilgrimages@cathedral.org or (202) 537-5246.
