“The Abrahamic Traditions: A Comparison of Faiths” Lecture Series (Part 2/6): Islam

Event image

A rabbi, a bishop, and an imam explore the three major religions that look to Abraham as their progenitor and are now pivotal for world peace. Rabbi Jack Moline, Bishop Jane Dixon, and Imam Yahya Hendi presented this informative and thought-provoking six-week course offered in partnership with the Smithsonian Institution; Canon Michael Wyatt moderated the series.

The first three sessions each featured a single tradition, focusing on history and sacred texts. How was each tradition shaped by interaction with the other two? What role does Scripture play in each religion? The second of six sessions focused on Islam with Imam Yahya Hendi.
