British Choirs Festival

Event image

Come hear three highly regarded cathedral choirs with ties to the United Kingdom. The Cathedral Choral Society hosts this concert with the choirs of Canterbury Cathedral, David Flood, director of music; St. Thomas Church (New York), John Scott, director of music; and Washington National Cathedral, Michael McCarthy, director of music. Composers range from Byrd to Holst and Edgar, to Tavener, Parry, and Tippett.

From some of the world’s most famous cathedrals and churches, this year’s British Choir Festival features much of the most glorious choral music in the western world. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to hear these three choirs in the magnificent setting of Washington National Cathedral.
