Four guest speakers provide insights and resources on topics including: Literacy and the DC homeless; Working with DC Public School students; best ESL practices; helping children learn to read. Open to all.

- Focus: Best Practices in Working with ESL Students with MaryAnn Florez, Director, Adult Education Professional Development Center, D.C. Learns
- Focus: Literacy and the DC Homeless Population with Brittany Perkins, Transitional Housing Corporation
- Focus: Working with Students in the DC Public Schools with Myra Shuler, Director, Cathedral Scholars Program
- Focus: Helping Children Learn to Read with Mark Lewis, Reading Specialist, John Eaton Elementary School

Directions: Enter the Cathedral Close from Wisconsin Avenue on South Road. If the West Front doors are still locked, go around the corner to the handicap-accessible entrance on the north side of the building near the exit from the garage. If the door is locked, ring the bell and inform security that you are with the Literacy Program. Then proceed to the South elevator and Room S-4. Alternatively, you may enter through the lower level Way of Peace by Bethlehem Chapel, cross to the north side of the building and walk up the steps to the nave.
