Listening, Hearing, and Living Series: Benedictine Spiritual Life and Balance with Esther de Waal

Event image

Esther de Waal guided more than 50 participants through a season of awakening, reflection, and renewal. With grace and her unique sense of the poetic, Esther brought Benedictine practices of balance through the centuries right into our daily living. Throughout the morning and early afternoon participants gathered in reflection, dialogue, and community building.

Join us as we explore how to more intentionally bring balance and reconciliation into our daily lives. Lectures and conversation with Benedictine leaders will deepen our understanding of the core practices of prayer, study, recreation, work, and hospitality. Each session offers time for prayer, reflection and community. All are welcome to attend any of the sessions, with preference given to Community of Reconciliation Companion candidates in the formation process.

Registration is requested (accepts only) at (202) 537-6217 or companions@cathedral.org. Participant fee: $35 General/$20 Senior, student, and Companion candidate. Scholarship assistance is available.

Future 2009 Series Dates: February 28, March 21, April 25, May 16, June 6.

Esther continues to explore the religious imagination in her Winter 2009 residential conference and retreats. For more information see:
