Docent Information Session

Event image

Washington National Cathedral is a church for the nation and place of majestic beauty that receives nearly 500,000 visitors a year. Docents carry out the Cathedral’s mission of hospitality and interpret the Cathedral’s activities, history, artisanship, and iconography to people from around the world.

Requirements are a friendly and welcoming manner, strong speaking voice, energy, and a desire to learn and teach. Training is provided. Docents often make lifelong friendships with fellow volunteers and others in the Cathedral’s vibrant community. Other benefits include a discount at the Cathedral shop, special ticket offers, subscription to Cathedral publications, and passes for Christmas and Easter services.

Join us to learn more on Thursday, June 11 at 6:30 pm. To rsvp, please contact Anne Harman, visitor programs manager, at (202) 537-5628 or by email at aharman@cathedral.org.
