Work as a Pilgrimage of Identity
At Washington National Cathedral just days after the tragic devastation of September 11, poet and Fortune 500 consultant David Whyte read from his work and spoke at the edges of heartbreak and renewal.
In an inspiring evening, he also led listeners on a pilgrimage to the center of ones work identity, helping to uncover the roots of new growth. Through a blend of poetry, gifted storytelling and personal experience, Whyte illuminated work as an opportunity for discovering and shaping the place where the self meets the world. He revealed how work can make a difficult world habitable when we allow imagination to serve as an antidote to powerlessness.
