Flower Mart
This wonderful annual outdoor spring festival sponsored by the Cathedral’s All Hallows Guild features plant sales, floral and horticultural displays, boutique booths, tasty foods, music and entertainment, plus fun activities for children, including rides on the antique carousel. Proceeds benefit the Cathedral’s gardens, grounds and woodlands. Free admission. Rain or shine.
All Hallows Guild, has sponsored this popular two-day festival since 1939. Each year one of Washington’s embassies is honored. Flower Mart in 2009 is scheduled for Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2.
Tower Climbs will be held every half-hour on Friday, May 1, 12:30–4 pm, and on Saturday, May 2, from 10 am to noon, and 12:30 to 3:30 pm. There are no advance ticket sales. Tickets can be purchased on a first-come, first-served basis only on the days of the climbs at the Tower Climb booth on South Road outside the Museum Store and cost $5 per climber. All climbers must be at least 48 inches (4 ft) tall. No infants in arms.
