Family Caregiving: A Faithful Circle of Support

Event image

If you find yourself caring for a chronically-ill or elderly parent, spouse, child, or other family member, you know you need care, too. You are invited to participate in a circle of support for caregivers that will look at care-giving from a Christian perspective. Come meet caregivers like yourself and draw strength from God’s love.

Meetings will offer resources for caregivers, including prayer and spiritual support, guest speakers and discussions about issues common to caregivers. Light refreshments provided. February 25–April 8.

Our facilitators are: Mary Wright Baylor, RN, FCN, Pastoral Care Nurse, Washington National Cathedral; the Rev. Andrea martin, Associate Rector, St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church; and Mona Hanford, caregiver and activist in End of Life Care.

There is a $20 materials fee, payable to St. Patrick’s Church. Register by e-mailing Karen Melchar at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church.

This health ministry offering is presented in partnership between St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church and the Washington National Cathedral. Contact Mary Baylor.

Participants will meet at St. Patrick Episcopal Church, 4700 Whitehaven Parkway, Washington, D.C.
