Food and Clothing Ministry

Event image

Feeding our sisters and brothers.

Each Sunday worshipers at the Cathedral bring nonperishable food items, diapers, and toiletries to services. These goods are distributed to area shelters, allowing a sharing of bounty with those who have less. Please consider placing a donation in the baskets under the Lincoln statue in the west end of the nave. These gifts continue to enrich our community as well as our Congregation.

Warm clothing, diapers, and warm blankets are urgently needed throughout the city. Through our work with Samaritan Ministry, Friendship Place for the Homeless, Martha’s Table, Street Church, and many area churches and shelters, we are delivering all contributions as they arrive. Please contact Patty Johnson if you have clothing or blankets to offer.

Nonperishable food items are in short supply. Please consider doubling your usual contribution. Items needed include cereal, canned tuna or salmon, dry or canned soups, canned veggies, spaghetti sauce, rice, dry or canned beans, juices, and peanut butter.

On Sunday, deliver your food, clothing, blankets, and diapers to the dropoff point at the rear of the nave, northwest area near the Lincoln statue.

Parking at the Cathedral

Parking in the Cathedral’s underground garage is free on Sundays for services and organ recitals; parking for concerts and programs is available for an event-parking fee. Learn more about parking options for individuals and groups.
