Funeral for Stone and Holt Weeks
The lives of Stone and Holt Weeks were celebrated in a funeral service at Washington National Cathedral on Sunday, August 2, 2009. The Rev. Janet Vincent, rector of St. Columba&0#0146;s Episcopal Church, was the presider; the Rev. John Taliaferro Thomas, from Saint Andrew’s-Sewanee School, was the homilist. Other clergy included: The Rev. Martin Smith, associate rector at St. Columba’s; The Rev. Rosemarie Duncan, associate rector at St. Columba’s; the Rev. Luther Zeigler, St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Potomac; the Rev. Deacon Sarah Duggin; and the Rev. Canon Stephen Huber, Cathedral vicar.
Tributes were offered by Woody Turner, Al Hightower, Christopher Garran, Drewry Fennell, Erin Koenig, and Douglas Brinkley.
