Center for Global Justice and Reconciliation

Our Mission

The Center for Global Justice and Reconciliation (CGJR) is the Cathedral’s platform for international affairs. Founded in 2005, the Center focuses its efforts on poverty, social justice, and peacemaking initiatives around the globe. The Center forges effective partnerships between Christian denominations, interfaith partners, governments, multilateral institutions, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and the private sector to address the root causes of human suffering.

How We Achieve Our Objectives

CGJR leverages the prominence and convening power of the Cathedral to gather leaders from religious and secular institutions to advance human rights initiatives around the world. Our location in the nation’s capital allows for a mutual exchange of ideas and information with our nation’s lawmakers as well as leaders in NGOs and the international community.
