Disciples of Christ in Community

History of DOCC

Disciples of Christ in Community (DOCC) is a congregational-based Christian formation program for adults that builds community while encouraging individual spiritual growth. It offers a step-by-step journey into the heart and soul of Christianity. Approximately 600 participants have taken DOCC since 2006 at the Washington National Cathedral. The course will be on hiatus in 2012 to allow for additional Christina formation courses to be offered for members of the Cathedral community and near by friends.

Nationally, more than 30,000 people have completed the program. Previously DOCC was administered by the School of Theology Programs Center of the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. The program was subsequently administered by Washington National Cathedral. It is currently administered nationally by Trinity Church in New Orleans.

Parking at the Cathedral
