Join Gustav Niebuhr, on the seventh anniversary of 9/11, as he unearths stories of faith communities throughout America crossing religious boundaries by reaching out with love and forgiveness. His new work, Beyond Tolerance: Searching for Interfaith Understanding in America, chronicles his cross-country quest, where he finds not a war on terror but a crusade to discover common interests and mutual respect.
Niebuhr illuminates the extraordinary vitality that occurs when we cross theological boundaries with a sense of wonder and possibility.
Gustav Niebuhr, former religion reporter for the New York Times, contributor to the Washington Posts On Faith, and to NPRs All Things Considered, is the grandson of H. Richard Niebuhr and great nephew of Reinhold Niebuhr, two of Americas most distinguished theologians.
