WASHINGTON, D.C.— The Rev. John M. Buchanan, pastor of Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago, Illinois, will preach on Sunday, November 8, at Washington National Cathedral. The service begins at 11:15 am.
Buchanan is also the editor/publisher of Christian Century, a magazine that explores through argument and reflection what it means to live out the Christian faith.
He has also served as moderator of the 208th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church, U.S.A., and as a member of its General Assembly Council from 1996 through 1999. Buchanan is author of A New Church for a New World, Being Church, Becoming Community, and Sermons for the City.
