Back to Press Releases »Washington, D.C.—Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) at the National Institutes of Health, is the Sunday Forum guest on November 15.
Join Dean Sam Lloyd and Dr. Fauci as they discuss the physical, emotional, and spiritual ramifications of disease in a time of heightened public concern.
The Sunday Forum is a 50-minute conversation that examines the intersection of faith and public life, and includes questions from live and online audiences. It is held between morning services in the main part of the Cathedral, beginning at 10:10, on most Sundays.
Dr. Fauci is also chief of the NIAID Laboratory of Immunoregulation, where he has made numerous important discoveries related to HIV/AIDS. A member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, Dr. Fauci has received numerous awards for his scientific accomplishments, including the National Medal of Science, the Mary Woodard Lasker Award for Public Service, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and 34 honorary doctoral degrees.
The Sunday Forum is free, open to the public and webcast live at www.nationalcathedral.org. Complimentary parking is offered in the underground parking garage, accessed from Wisconsin Avenue.
