"Service and Sacrifice Tour" Honors America's Servicemen and Women

A tour honoring the men and women who have served and sacrificed for the nation is scheduled for 1:30 on Veteran’s Day.
The November 11th Service and Sacrifice Tour is part of the Cathedral’s ongoing Tour and Tea program. Reservations are required for participants and more information can be found at http://www.nationalcathedral.org/visit/tourAndTea.shtml.
Service and Sacrifice Tours are normally scheduled by appointment only for Mondays and Wednesdays at 9 am. Group size is limited to 25, and a donation of $5. per person is suggested. The Monday and Wednesday morning tours are arranged through Anne James Harman, visitor programs manager, at (202) 537-5628 or by email at aharman@cathedral.org.
The Service and Sacrifice Tour highlights historical and military iconography throughout the Cathedral’s Gothic structure. Participants will examine sculpture, stained glass and needlework that pay tribute to many significant events in our nation’s history while honoring those men and women who have served and sacrificed for their country. The tour also chronicles members of the military who were instrumental in the planning and creation of the Cathedral.
