A World Safe for Diversity with Writer Os Guinness

Back to Press Releases »

Why is America so polarized on many political and religious questions? What can we do to overcome our divisions and unite behind a vision of acceptance?

Join Dean Sam Lloyd and writer Os Guinness as they explore the problems of political, religious, and ideological polarization in America on Sunday, January 24, at Washington National Cathedral.

The Sunday Forum is a 50-minute conversation that examines the intersection of faith and public life, and includes questions from live and online audiences. It is held between morning services in the main part of the Cathedral, beginning at 10:10, on most Sundays.

Os Guinness is an expert in faith, public policy, and international relations. He has worked as a freelance journalist for the BBC and as a scholar at the Brookings Institute and the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Affairs. He has written and edited more than 25 books, including The American Hour, The Call: Finding and Fulfilling the Central Purpose of Your Life, and The Case for Civility: And Why Our Future Depends on It.

The Sunday Forum is free, open to the public and webcast live at www.nationalcathedral.org. Complimentary parking is offered in the underground parking garage, accessed from Wisconsin Avenue.
