“…exercise the greatest patience with our own and with one another’s faults, refraining from judgment, and placing the good of others before our own.”

REFLECTIONS FROM THE DIRECTOR
“on” life at a time
Advent can waken us to marvelous wisdom in the most unexpected ways. For me, this year’s Advent wisdom arrived with an on-time delivery of a box of thank you cards and an AWOL “e.”
The thank you cards had been specially created to extend gratitude to all who have financially supported the Community in this challenging year. Hospiteers stood at-the-ready to help hand address each envelope. We had been waiting the card’s arrival with an intention to have them to their recipients Thanksgiving week, so a certain understated pressure for a timely delivery had been mounting.
Carrying the freshly delivered box of cards up the garret stairs of the Cathedral Library I could barely contain my enthusiasm, anticipating the first peek. These would be the harbingers of heartfelt thanks to so many in the Community during the Thanksgiving season and throughout the coming year.

Wisdom from the Autumn Survey
A strong response to the Autumn Online Survey has brought a wealth of encouragement and wisdom about our shared work together. Our goal is to listen for every single voice of those who experience the support and encouragement of this community. If you have not already done so, take 5-10 minutes right now to offer your wisdom and experience. Click here »

Community Financial Update and Giving

Through our shared work, support, and encouragement this year, hundreds of lives have experienced the gifts of radical balance and reconciliation through the Community of Reconciliation.
Your gift is a tangible expression of the impact of the Community in your own life and your desire to make it available to others who so need radical balance in life. Your decision to make a financial gift this December—and in this new year ahead—will directly impact our shared work for years to come.
These gifts support our own spiritual care and help make this way available for others; they complement rather than replace giving to our own faith communities and our charities of choice. And while the Cathedral provides generous in-kind resources, the Community receives no direct Cathedral funding.
Your gift matters—whatever the amount. To learn how your gift sustains and nurtures the Community—and to make your own gift, as you may choose—please click here »
