Community of Reconciliation

Radical Balance and Reconciliation

If you hunger for a life centered in God, are ready to bring balance into your life, and seek support for being a reconciling presence in the world, join us on the journey with the Community of Reconciliation.

Discover the balance and harmony found in a cloistered community—right in our own environments—family, the workplace, and daily life in a complex world. Engage the ancient Christian wisdom and practices of Benedictine spirituality as an alternative way of life to our often-fragmented existence.

Anchored through gatherings and resources at Washington National Cathedral we pray and listen for the divine in our midst, share and explore spiritual wisdom, rest and renew our bodies and spirit, explore and engage our work in the world, and joyfully welcome and encourage those along our journey.

Join Us this Fall

Choose to experience the harmony, surprise, and delight of radical balance in life and reconciliation in the world.

Wherever you find yourself along your spiritual journey, balance in life and reconciliation in the world can be a part of your life this fall. Attend an orientation session for inquirers. Join a new Companion Candidate cohort. Enjoy a Reflection Pilgrimage in the autumn gardens and sacred spaces of the Cathedral. Visit a Monday evening gathering of shared silence and intentional conversation. Engage online audio and video resources for your enrichment.

Mark your calendars for November 13–16 for a celebration weekend of intention. Throughout the weekend we will honor the inaugural cohort of Companion Candidates, celebrate the launch of a new cohort, and launch several pilot gatherings to pioneer the year ahead. With a range of pilgrimage opportunities, hospitality events, orienting sessions for distance participants, worship services at the Cathedral, and a great celebration service of thanksgiving and blessing with friends, colleagues, and family, the weekend will be filled with renewal and vibrant hospitality.
