About a Rule of Life
The Benedictine way rests upon foundations of stability shared, wisdom applied, and transformation welcomed—embodied through rhythms of prayer, study, recreation, right work, and hospitality. While monastics embrace these foundations as vows and these rhythms through daily practice, the Community of Reconciliation sets an intention to learn from and integrate them into daily living.
We create our unique life guides to honor these foundations and rhythms while contextualizing them for daily living. They serve as an elegant trellis that supports while giving great freedom to grow. In a marvelous way, each life rule connects us in a vibrant monastery beyond walls that fosters vital integration of spiritual awareness and practical engagement in the world.
