The Center for Prayer and Pilgrimage invites you to explore its diverse offerings of spiritual growth through communities gathered in prayer, devotional practices, and reflection. Except as noted, gatherings meet in the center, located on the crypt level of the Cathedral and accessible through the Visitors Center or Resurrection Chapel.
Mondays, 6:15–7:15 pm
Benedictine Life and Prayer
Benedictine Life and Prayer provides a weekly opportunity to foster life balance and spiritual renewal in a small group setting. The hour-long session is experienced through shared silence, deep listening, intentional conversation, and centering prayer as participants read through the Rule of St. Benedict. All are welcome to visit at any time.
If you wish, stay for additional facilitated conversation, support, and encouragement following each weeks gathering! Also, on the first Monday of each month from 7:15 pm until 8:30 pm, except holidays, bring a light snack to share and stay for a session devoted to Creating a Rule of Life as your unique guide for a life of balance and reconciliation.
Tuesdays, 67 pm; Wednesdays, 88:30 am
Centering Prayer
Open your entire being to Gods presence during this time of silent prayer as you move beyond thoughts, words, and emotions into a quiet communion with the Divine. The Tuesday sessions include a time for teaching and discussion in addition to a time of silence.
Fourth Saturdays, 1011 am
Christian Meditation: Silence, Stillness, Simplicity
Experience a rhythm of contemplative prayer that includes a reading from one of the great contemplatives, a period of silent meditation, and time for sharing and reflection.
Tuesdays, 5 pm
Listening for God
Hear the word of God in reading Holy Scripture, in silence, and by sharing with others in prayerful listening. Time for group sharing and prayer helps discern what the Spirit is saying to us today.
